Taiwan Offers Repeat Visitors a Chance at NT$5,000

Taiwan's repeat-visitor offer is a lottery, not a payment for returning. Under the campaign, a qualifying independent foreign traveler can enter a draw for NT$5,000 in stored-value spending credit. A companion may be eligible for a separate NT$3,000 award. The total can reach NT$8,000 only through two separate awards.
The eligibility rules are specific. Visitors need a foreign passport, no Taiwan residence permit and at least one entry to Taiwan since January 1, 2023. Their planned visit must last from three to 90 days. Tour groups and people using other subsidized group programs are excluded. Registration starts at 10 a.m. Taiwan time on October 1, 2026, for eligible arrivals from October 10, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
The draw runs during the campaign period. Winners receive an email and must complete verification within 24 hours after arrival, including a return-flight ticket. After successful verification, they receive a QR code to redeem the stored-value credit through designated locations. It can then be loaded onto travel cards for participating merchants.
The policy is designed to create an incentive for international visitors to return, rather than promising a reward to every repeat visitor. Taiwan has not announced the number of weekly winners. Travelers should therefore not treat it as a travel budget certainty, and should check the official campaign rules before making plans.
