This week, world leaders are meeting in New York at the United Nations. About 130 presidents and prime ministers will come. They will speak about problems.
The meeting is called the General Debate. Leaders talk about wars, climate change, trade and new technology such as AI. The United Nations has 193 member countries. Each country can have a voice there.
The UN cannot make every country do what it wants. Countries often disagree. But the meeting is useful. Leaders can talk in smaller meetings, too. They may discuss peace, food, trade or help for people in danger. Talking does not always bring an agreement. But it can be harder to solve a problem when countries do not talk at all.
