Robot Ran Faster Than Usain Bolt

A robot ran 100 metres in Beijing, China. Its name is Tiangong Ultra. In a first race at the World Humanoid Robot Games, it finished in 9.39 seconds. That is a very fast time.
Usain Bolt holds the men's human 100-metre world record. He ran 9.58 seconds in 2009. The robot's number was lower than Bolt's number.
But this does not mean the robot beat Bolt in a human race. Robots and people do not race under the same rules. The important news is that humanoid robots can now run very fast. It gives engineers a difficult new goal today.
