A very large shark has become famous in Busan, South Korea. The shark was first seen in a narrow canal at North Port on September 18. It is about 3.5 metres long and has stayed there for many days.
People call the shark Bukangi. About 600,000 people came to see it in less than two weeks, city officials said. During the Chuseok holiday, about 480,000 visitors went to the park near the canal. Usually, the park has about 2,000 visitors on a weekend day. Officials want the shark to return to the sea. They tried to guide it out with water from boats, but it swam away. The rescue is for a wild animal, not a pet or show animal.
