A school in Taiwan has a place to learn about danger. The school is in Yunlin County. Its new learning area opened on October 31, 2026. People can learn about fires, floods and earthquakes there.
The area has another job, too. During a disaster, it can be a shelter: a place where people can stay. Reports say it can hold up to 600 people. It is designed to provide water and electricity for up to three days.
About 200 people joined a practice event at night. They put up tents and checked water and electricity. This was practice, not a real disaster. The numbers describe what the place is designed to do.
