Did Tesla Really Make a Flying Car?

Tesla showed its new Roadster in Texas on October 15. The car left the ground. Jets of gas pushed it into the air. It moved above other cars, turned and came down again. No one was inside the car.
So, is it a flying car? It can fly for a short time. But it cannot fly between cities like a plane. The test showed a jump, not a long trip. Its use on public roads is unproven.
The Roadster is also made to be very fast on the ground. Tesla says it plans to start making the new car in 2028. For now, the flying version is a test, with many questions still to answer.
