China plans to send three astronauts to the Moon. Only two will land there. The third will stay in a spacecraft above the Moon. China hopes to do this before 2030. The trip has not happened yet.
Two rockets will carry two different spacecraft. One is a lander. It will take two people down to the Moon. The other will carry all three astronauts from Earth. The spacecraft will meet and join above the Moon.
After their work, the two astronauts will leave the Moon in the lander. They will meet the waiting spacecraft again. All three will then return to Earth. More tests are still needed.
